By Tim Royner: Tyson Fury says he’ll be soon coming for WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and IBF/WBA champion Anthony Joshua to beat them after he makes his comeback in the near future. Fury, 29, is sparring with former WBA heavyweight champion Lucas ‘Big Daddy’ Browne to get ready to resume his career.

The sparring will help Browne a little bit for his March 24th fight against Dillian Whyte. It’s not ideal though for Browne to be sparring with the 6’9” Fury to get ready for the 6’3” Whyte.

Fury is doing a lot of talking instead of fighting. For a guy that hasn’t seen action for ages, he talks as if he’s been an active heavyweight for the last 3 years instead of someone sitting on the shelf collecting dust and spoiling.

Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) has dropped a lot of weight in getting ready for his comeback. He says he could this weekend if he had to. It’s a good thing Fury doesn’t, because he still looks like he’s carrying around an extra 20 pounds of fat that needs to be lost for him to get back to where he was in his last fight 2 ½ years ago against Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015.

”Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, whoever else, I’m coming for you,” Fury said to skysports.com. “When I get in the ring, I’ll really give him [Deontay Wilder] a good hiding. I’ll give him a boxing lesson, and then I’ll stop him.”

Fury says he’ll fight Wilder even if he gets beaten by someone else before he can get to him. Fury doesn’t care. Fury just wants to make sure he fights him at some point, because he feels they have unfinished business to take care of. At fight between Fury and Wilder is likely a long way off before it happens. Fury is not going to fight Wilder or Joshua in 2018.

This is Fury’s get back year in returning to the ring from a long layoff. Wilder and Joshua will take place in 2019. Joshua will likely be the No.1 priority for Fury, because that’s the guy that he can make the most money fighting. Fury won’t take a dangerous fight against Wilder for less money that he can make against Joshua. Once Fury has made his money against Joshua, then he’ll fight Wilder.

Fury has a lot to prove before he gets in with Joshua and Wilder. He needs to prove that he can beat even fringe level heavyweights at this point. Fury has lived the life of a retired fighter the last for 2 ½ years, and an unhealthy one at that. It’s not going to be easy for Fury to come back after living the life style that he has. Taking off the weight doesn’t mean Fury will instantly be back to the fighter that beat Wladimir in November 2015. Boxing is a sport. You can’t walk away from competition in any sport for close to 3 years and expect to pick it back up and do as well as you did previously. Fury should take his time before he fights Joshua and Wilder, because he’ll get knocked out by both if he tries to face them this year.

“I could probably fight this weekend. It’s been a long time coming. I’ve been out a long time, two-and-a-half years,” said Fury.
