By Sean Jones: Tyson Fury says he’ll beat IBF/WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua with him even weighing 25 stone [350 pounds]. Joshua send out a Twitter posit on Thursday saying that Fury is “fat” needs to “get fit” and lose weight. The way that Joshua told Fury to lose weight, it came across like he was a drill instructor ordering a recruit to lose weight.

You’d like to think that Joshua was just playing around, but it didn’t seem that way. Joshua had plenty of time to tell Fury he was just joking. and he didn’t do that. After Joshua’s insulting Tweet, Fury responded back saying he wants to “punch your face in.”

“This is a message to the weight-lifter, big Anthony Joshua – the tough man. Who told me to get fit?” Fury said on Instagram. “To be honest with you, I don’t need to get fit to fight somebody like you, at all. I’ll come to you and I’ll punch your face in for you. Even at 25 stone. So I really don’t need to get fit for you, put it that way.”

Fury obviously isn’t going to take a fight with Joshua if he’s grossly overweight the way he is right now. Fury needs to take the weight, and get his conditioning back to where it was in the past for him to do well against Joshua. The thing that Fury has in his favor is he’s always had excellent stamina. He’s been able to fight hard without gassing out in his fights the way that we’ve seen from Joshua in several of his fights during his 4-year pro career. Joshua has become slow with muscle, and he can’t seem to fight hard in any round without gassing out. It doesn’t matter if it’s early in a fight, Joshua still gasses out if he’s forced to fight at a fast pace.

Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) hasn’t fought since beating heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko by a 12 round unanimous decision in 2015. Fury has put on a lot of weight during the last 2 years, and he’s hoping to make a comeback soon. He needs to be cleared by the UK Anti-Doping agency. Fury also needs to take off approximately 100 pounds to get down to 250 lbs. before he starts fighting again. It’s expected that Fury will take 1 or 2 tune-up bouts before he faces Joshua in 2018.

“I’ve seen what you’re about,” Fury said. “Useless – no gas, no stamina, too many weights. You want to practice on a bit more speed and less power.”

Fury feels he knows how to beat Joshua after watching his recent fights. Fury just needs to lose the weight and get cleared to fight again, and he’ll be able to fight Joshua in 2018 in the UK.

“I’m ready to fight you now,” said Fury to Joshua. “He said we’re on different levels. You’re intermediate and I’m legendary level. I’m ready to fight now. I’m ready whenever you are. It’s about levels. You’re world level, and I’m legendary level. Until someone beats me, I’m the man who beat the man [Klitschko], and I beat the man.”

“Gypsyking101@anthony_joshua message to you live & direct. I do not care about you! Like I told you before I’ll punch your face in bad boy. Fighting to me is easy & slapping punks like you is even easier. Good to see Eddie has let you of your leash for the day. But he Better put you back on before u get bitten,” said Fury.
