Mexico City, MX (October 20, 2016) Boxing Superstar and Unified Middleweight World Champion GENNADY “GGG” GOLOVKIN, (36-0, 33 KO’s) was in Mexico City yesterday for a World Boxing Council/HUBLOT event as the two companies have partnered to support the goal of helping retired boxers with financial and health problems.

While in Mexico City, Golovkin was a big hit with local fans and media, meeting with a very large contingent of local press in addition to retired boxing legends JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ SR., ROBERTO DURAN, ROY JONES JR. and HUBLOT CEO RICARDO GUADALUPE.

Accompanying Golovkin were promoter TOM LOEFFLER of K2 PROMOTIONS and his longtime trainer ABEL SANCHEZ.

“The response that Gennady receives in Mexico from media and fans has continued to increase since our first visit here,” said Loeffler. “It was great to visit with Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., Roberto Duran and Roy Jones Jr. along with Mauricio and our friends at the WBC in addition to becoming acquainted with HUBLOT.”
