By Angel Flower: It’s no secret Kell “Special K” Brook and Amir “King” Khan have a pretty heated rivalry going on. Amir Khan has refused to fight Brook in the past because he felt Brook had not done anything to earn the fight and wanted too much money.

I can see this all changing now and expect these two dynamic fighters to finally give the people of the UK the biggest all UK fight of 2017 if not the biggest fight in the world. Fans from both sides of the ocean want to see this match up from two of the toughest men in boxing right now, their resume speaks for itself.

Despite being somewhat chinny, as evident in his fight against two division champion Danny Garcia, Amir Khan after not getting the Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight moved up in weight to fight dangerous knockout artist Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. Although he was eventually knocked out, I had Khan winning the fight up until that point and though he was more skilled, he just lost to a bigger stronger fighter.

Brook, after winning a welterweight title against the dangerous and then undefeated Shawn “Showtime” Porter, he then went on to beat up on his number one contender Jo Jo Dan before being choosing to move up in weight to fight Gennady “GGG” Golovkin. The heart that Brook and Khan showed by moving up in weight has this writer counting the days until this fight gets made.

I don’t think I have a favorite in Khan vs. Brook fight. It’s speed vs. power and I will be happy with whoever wins. I think the winner of this fight might be able to secure a big money fight with Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao. If the winner is Brook, he might even get a shot at the big money with a fight with Canelo

Despite what he may have thought in the past, Kell Brook was not a big enough name to fight Amir Khan. Now after Brook’s last fight against Gennady Golovkin on September 10, is there anyone who truly believes Brook does not deserve a chance at beating his rival.

Khan has already expressed interest in the fight but if he hadn’t I would expect the boxing public to turn against him like some of them did with GGG after he elected not to fight Andre Ward. If the public would step up, I would expect to see more exciting fights like the one currently trying to be made with the exciting Brits.
