Having previously held the British title as well as a number of WBO and WBA belts, the Finchley heavyweight has also mixed with the elite of the modern era of heavyweights in a career that has seen him fill outdoor stadiums as well as challenge for world honours.

“It is important to me now that I get managed correctly, and I have seen that Steve Goodwin and the team are establishing their reputation for doing that” said Chisora. “I spoke long and hard with my Promoters, the Sauerlands, as well as my coach Don Charles. Don has known Steve for a long time and they have a close relationship. It made sense that we go with someone Don trusts and is able to give me the proper management to move my career on again.”

It is a huge coup for Goodwin Boxing and comes fresh off the signing of another world title challenger in Frank Buglioni. The talent of Chisora has never been in question and with the right management there is no doubt in my mind that he can be an integral part of the exciting heavyweight scene.”

Chisora’s name is never far from being linked to the like of Dillian Whyte or even Anthony Joshua. With the backing of promoters the Sauerland Brothers as well as the new UK management of Goodwin Boxing, Chisora is certain to be a fixture within the top tier of heavyweight boxing for years to come.
