On Saturday, October 15, L-Jack Promotions returns to the Aitken Centre at the University of New Brunswick’s Fredericton campus for another evening of world class professional boxing headlined by Brandon “L-Jack” Brewer (19-0-1, 10KOs) himself in a twelve round World Boxing Union (WBU) Intercontinental super welterweight clash against Anderson “Pantera” Clayton (44-10-2, 38KOs) of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Clayton is the former World Boxing Federation (WBF) champion and a 56 fight veteran. Fresh off his debut as a fighter-promoter at the Aitken Centre on May 14, Brewer is riding momentum after stopping Diego Adrian Marocchi (18-2-0, 13KOs) of Argentina via TKO3. The event was the largest boxing show hosted in New Brunswick in recent memory, proving that the Maritime province remains one of the fastest growing fight scenes in Canada, if not North America.

“To put myself out there for my first promotion, in a city that hasn’t hosted professional boxing in years, and get such an overwhelmingly positive response was amazing,” said Brewer. “It was a homecoming for me and my fans. I had previously fought in New Brunswick, in Moncton and Shediac, but never this close to my hometown. A lot of folks said it couldn’t be done. Tell that to the fans that packed the Aitken Centre my last time out. Boxing is alive and well here.”

Brewer is providing fans with an exceptional undercard as an appetizer to his main event. In the top supporting bout, Nathan Millier (9-0-1, 7KOs) of Elsipitog, New Brunswick, challenges Canadian champion Shakeel Phinn (8-1-0, 4KOs) of Brossard, Quebec, in a ten rounder for the CPBC middleweight crown. In another exciting bout for local fans, former Canadian cruiserweight champion Chris Norrad (13-0-0, 6KOs) of Boisetown, New Brunswick, fights for the first time in 2016, taking on the always tough Sandy Pembroke (3-8-0, 1KOs) of Ottawa, Ontario, in a six round heavyweight tilt. Down at super featherweight, highly touted prospect Dominic Babineau (5-0-0, 4KOs) of Richibucto Village is back in action against an opponent TBA.

The eight fight card is rounded out by Tom Vautour (2-0-0) of Moncton taking on newcomer Robert McMillan in a light heavyweight four rounder; hard-hitting hometown hopeful Joel Graham (2-1-0, 2KOs) up against Denis Martin (2-7-0, 1KOs) of Edmunston for four rounds or less at cruiserweight; light heavyweight Annie Mazzerole (2-2-0) of St. Louis de Kent against greenhorn Shanice Szmidt; and Toronto heavyweight sensation Oleksandr Teslenko (6-0-0, 5KOs) against an opponent TBA.
