Tyson Fury still looking overweight

By Scott Gilfoid: Well, if Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) wants to keep his IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight titles, he’s going to need to get on a stair climber or get on a bicycle or something to try and burn off some of the serious blubber he’s still carrying around. Fury Tweeted a photo of himself wearing shorts and his midsection showed quite a bit of excess blubber that he’s carrying around.

I’m not an expert on estimating fat, but I’d have to say that I think there’s at least a good 40 pounds of blubber that Fury still needs to lose before he meets up with Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) in a month and a half on July 9 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, UK.

Fury also posted a Tweet where he gloated about his net fortune, pointing out that he has a fortune of £27 [$39 million USD].

“€30 mill [expletive] that’s who I fought! 27 [years-old] sitting on £27 mill. Don’t hate on success, hate on failure. I dreamed a dream, then lived it.🍾🌍🍾🌍🙈”

Oh my, look at Fury gloating about his cash. I don’t believe he’s got that kind of sweet cash. He’d have to show me a bank slip for me to believe he’s got that kind of dough.

That sounds like a lot of money for Fury to have gotten from the Klitschko fight last November. I think that fight by far was his biggest payday of his career, and I don’t see how Fury could have gotten anything close that kind of cash for that fight.

Back to the weight issue. I think Fury won’t be able to take all that weight off in the next month. Heck, even if he were in boot camp in the military, I don’t see him being able to take off enough of that weight for him to be where he was in terms of his physique the last time he fought Klitschko.

So let’s just assume for the sake of argument, that Fury will be coming into the Klitschko fight with an excess of 20 pounds, maybe a little more. I think it’s going to be bad for Fury because he’ll be not only flabby around his belly, he’ll also likely be weak as heck when he starts having to dodge and duck punches from Wladimir.

Since Fury’s main line of defense against Wladimir last time was movement, I don’t see how he’s going to be able to move fast enough to get out of the line of fire from Wladimir’s big right hand bombs. I mean, if Fury is going to be waddling around the ring all night long against Wladimir, he’s not going to last long. Imagine carrying around a big 25lb plate on your backside for 12 rounds while trying to run from a fighter that is trying to decapitate you with right hands.

Now imagine yourself being weak from having burned off 30 pounds of lard in a training camp while denying yourself the calories that your body craves. If you were eating well with ice cream, cakes and candy bars going into training camp, your body is going to be in shock without those nourishing calories to help sustain itself.

After go all through weeks of not eating good calorie-rich food in training camp, you’re probably going to be weak as water when you get in the ring with Wladimir. That’s what I think is going to happen with Fury. He’ll still be fat when training camp ends, and he’ll likely be weak and a sitting duck for Wladimir when he gets inside the ring with him.
