Mayweather says he’ll never fight Pacquiao again

Floyd Mayweather JrBy Chris Williams: Floyd Mayweather Jr. says he’s never ever going to fight Filipino Manny Pacquiao again. He had his chance and he lost 10 out of 12 rounds in their fight in 2015, and then he complained about having an injured shoulder and how he still thought he won the fight.

Mayweather says he’s not going to come back to the sport to throw a bone to the 37-year-old Pacquiao. He had his chance and he lost the fight, period. There isn’t anyone else that my man Mayweather is interested in fighting if he were to come back. He fought the Filipino star that many boxing fans thought would beat him, and he dominated him.

The judges have spoken, and Pacquiao lost fair and square. Now he’s going to have to live with, as far as Mayweather is concerned. Pacquiao’s fans are going to have live with it too. They need to let go and let Mayweather be. He schooled Pacquiao and there’s nothing they can do about it.

“I don’t want to hear this anymore, Floyd Mayweather-Pacquiao,” said Mayweather to Fighthype.com. “That’s over with. That chapter is over with. That’s totally over with. I don’t want to hear nothing else about Mayweather-Pacquiao. That’s not going to ever happen again. That will never happen again. Never. Out of 12 rounds and I win 10 out of 12 rounds, why should I have to prove myself? Blowout!”

Some boxing fans can’t let go. They want to see Mayweather keep fighting Pacquiao as many times as possible just so they can see if Pacquiao can finally get a win. They want to see Mayweather taste defeat and get knocked out or out-pointed for the first time. Mayweather sees it as flat out jealousy and envy on the part of the fans. I hear what he’s saying.

Some haters want to see Mayweather get taken out by Pacquiao, and they don’t care if the two of them have to fight each other 100 times just to that Pacquiao finally gets his win. I honestly don’t think Pacquiao could beat Mayweather if they even fought 100 times. I think it would get easier for Mayweather with each and every fight as he learns more of Pacquiao’s game with his computer-like mind.

Mayweather doesn’t need to keep fighting Pacquiao, because it wouldn’t even be fair because Pacquiao isn’t in his class. But more important than that, Mayweather doesn’t need to be fighting someone that can’t admit when they’ve been beaten.

Pacquiao thought he actually won the fight last May against Mayweather. That’s the worst kind of opponent you can have; someone that can’t admit that you’ve beaten them. It becomes a game after a while, and it’s not even entertaining. Mayweather would be doing Pacquiao a favor by fighting him again, but why should he? If the man can’t even admit when he’s been beaten, then what’s the point in continuing to fight him?

“I’ma tell you what’s going on. People want me to stay in boxing and continue to fight because they want Father Time to catch up with me,” said Mayweather. “They don’t want me to leave the sport because so many people prayed and prayed and prayed on my downfall; so many jealous and hateful people prayed on my downfall. They wanted me to lose throughout my 20-year career and that just wasn’t in my cards. That wasn’t written.”

I agree with Mayweather COMPLETELY! Fans just want to see Mayweather’s downfall, and that’s the only reason they want to see him continue. There’s something about Mayweather’s success that really bugs a lot of boxing fans, so they want to him to stick around as long as it takes for him to finally get old and for someone younger to eventually come around and give him his first defeat. Some fans even want Mayweather to move up to middleweight to fight Gennady Golovkin so they could see if he can beat Mayweather. Believe me, if Golovkin failed at beating Mayweather, the fans would probably look to the super middleweight division for someone like James DeGale, and then to the light heavyweight division for Mayweather to face Sergey Kovalev.

Mayweather did his thing, made his money, and now no longer owes anything to anybody. He entertained boxing fans for 20-years as a pro, and some fans just can’t appreciate. All they do is downgrade the man instead of giving him his props.
