Pacquiao dreamed he lost to Mayweather one month before fight

Pacquiao says he saw himself losing to Mayweather by a 12 round decision, and he says he feels blessed that God showed him what would happen in the fight ahead of time.

It’s not know if Pacquiao didn’t try as hard to win because of this dream or what, because a lot of boxing fans felt that Pacquiao gave less than 100% of himself in trying to win the fight. He fought in an unusually passive way compared to many of his other fights, and it wasn’t the usual Pacquiao that many fans had previously come to know in his 20-year pro career.

“One month before the fight I dreamt that I lost the decision,” Manny told Davila of ANC’s “HeadStart” in the Philippines. “It was already shown me. So I am still blessed because the Lord informed that this would happen.”

This is really troubling, because Pacquiao appears to believe that his dream told him what was going to happen. If Pacquiao is one of those people who believes everything he sees in his dreams, then there’s no telling whether he went out there and chose not to fight as hard as he could because he was already thinking that it was his destiny to lose the fight.

Pacquiao is 36-years-old, and it doesn’t make sense for a person that old to be believing things than they see in their dreams unless it’s something that he had already determined on his own from judging how good Mayweather was compared to himself. When you start believing your own dreams, it could be trouble. The question is did Pacquiao give up before he even entered the ring against Mayweather because of a dream that he had before the fight? What would Pacquiao done if his dreams had told him other stuff?

Pacquiao injured his right shoulder during the course of the Mayweather fight, but it didn’t prevent him from using his shoulder. Pacquiao was able to use his shoulder all throughout the fight. It was only later that it was revealed that Pacquiao came into the fight with an injured shoulder. If Pacquiao had the shoulder injury a month ahead of the fight with Mayweather, then perhaps Pacquiao’s dreams were a sign that he might have realized that the injury would be too much for him to be able to beat Mayweather.

Now that Pacquiao’s shoulder have been repaired through surgery this would be the perfect time for him to make a fuss about wanting a rematch with Mayweather. But interestingly enough, Pacquiao isn’t pushing hard for a rematch. Now why is that? If a fighter was injured badly and was unable to fight at their peak because of an injury, they should in theory want to fight that person again. Why isn’t Pacquiao standing on a soapbox telling everyone that can listen that he wants the rematch with Mayweather? Does Pacquiao believe he can beat Mayweather in a rematch?
