AUG. 25 BROOKLYN BRAWL RE-AIR SCHEDULED FOR MSG NETWORK

BROOKLYN, NY (Oct. 9, 2015) – The Brooklyn Brawl series makes its way to living rooms and sports bars beginning this Columbus Day weekend as the Aug. 25 event has three scheduled airtimes on MSG Network. Four selected bouts from late summer’s Boxing At The Beach affair will air on MSG on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 10 p.m., and on Monday, Oct. 12 at 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

“We are excited that New York sport fans have the ability to connect with world class athletes that live and train in the five boroughs via our MSG Network partnership,” said boxing champion-turned promoter Dmitriy Salita. “The Brooklyn Brawl series continues to be one of a kind. It features many local boxers that have tremendous accomplishments inside the ring. The broadcast show features cross-town rivals fighting for recognition in New York City, which has impact on their careers in the world of boxing.”

Included in the replay on MSG Network… Veteran Cornelius “Lightning” Lock of Flatbush, Brooklyn, found a home for a nasty left hand and finished off favorite Alex Miskirtchian in round three of their scheduled ten… Dimash Niyazov, the Brooklyn police officer and pro hitter extinguished Ariel “Fuego” Duran in a six-round unanimous decision… the colorful “Brooklyn Buddah” Gary Beriguette showed effective aggression in scoring a four-round decision over Anton Williamson… two-time Irish Olympian John Joe Nevin, who scored a three-round stoppage win over Victor Capaceta.

ESPN3 originally carried three-and-a-half live hours of Brooklyn Brawl boxing back on Aug. 25 via its multiscreen network, available to 99 million households nationwide.

MSG Networks is the exclusive local television home of the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres (Upstate New York only), New York Liberty, Westchester Knicks and New York Red Bulls, and the official regional sports networks of the New York Giants. Brooklyn resident Michael Woods, RING Magazine boxing contributor and editor of The Sweet Science website handled play-by-play duties on Aug. 25, while Brian Adams of the New York Daily News Golden Gloves event served as the analyst for the evening. New York City-based Linacre Media was selected for production.
