Ricky Burns and Gavin McDonnell face crunch European title fights against Edis Tatli and Jeremy Parodi at the Sheffield Arena on October 24, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Former two-weight World champion Burns challenges Tatli for the European Lightweight title that the Finn ace won in April via a unanimous decision win over Yvan Mendy in Helsinki. Burns is back in action following his stirring display in Texas in May against Omar Figueroa, and the Coatbridge ace will have his hands full against 28 year old who has 25 wins on his slate and just a sole majority decision loss in a World title challenge against Richar Abril.

Unbeaten Doncaster ace McDonnell defends his Super Bantamweight strap for the first time against the Frenchman who challenged IBF World champion Carl Frampton for the title in October 2013. McDonnell has been in camp for seven weeks already, including two weeks in Texas where his twin brother defended his WBA World Bantamweight title against Tomoki Kameda, and McDonnell will be looking for more success in the venue where he claimed the crown against Oleksandr Yegorov in March.

Burns and McDonnell’s bouts are the first fights announced by promoter Eddie Hearn on the undercard of Kell Brook’s IBF World Welterweight title defence against Diego Chaves, part of a huge night of boxing on Sky Sports Box Office as Tyson Fury’s World Heavyweight title challenge against Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf.
