By Allan Fox: Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson gave a fan an elbow last Friday at the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao weigh-in at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tyson reacted angrily when a fan all of a sudden draped his arm around Tyson to pose for a picture.

It appeared that the fan hadn’t asked Tyson if he had permission ahead of time before putting his arm around him to pose for the cellphone picture. Tyson clearly didn’t like it and gave the fan an elbow to the chest.

Being a celebrity like Tyson, he must have massive amount of fans looking to pose with him for pictures. This kind of thing has to be the norm. What’s unclear is if Tyson has people looking to pose with him without getting permission ahead of time.

Tyson recently went off on Mayweather for him favorably comparing himself to former heavyweight world champion Muhammad Ali. Tyson said to UCN:
“He’s very delusional. If he was anywhere near that realm [of being as great as] Ali, he’d be able to take his kids to school by himself. Greatness is not guarding yourself from the people, greatness is being accepted by the people. He can’t take his kids to school by himself. He’s a little, scared man. He’s a very small, scared man.”

Mayweather is an upfront person, and he’s not afraid to speak his mind even if it upsets a lot of boxing fans. If he believes he’s better than another fighter, he’s not afraid to tell the fans this. It’s a matter of Mayweather having an opinion that he’s feels he’s better than Ali.

As far as Mayweather having body guards, he possibly has had problems in the past where people in the public have given him grief. Being a celebrity puts him in a spot where anyone trying to make a name for themselves can give him problems if they want. But with Mayweather having burly body guards around him, it makes it difficult to get to him unless he wants the fans to. You could understand it from his point of view. He’s not a heavyweight like Mike Tyson.

According to TMZ, a lot of ticket investors are finding themselves having problems trying to move tickets that they purchased in mass. The ticket sellers were hoping to make huge profits on the tickets they purchased, but they’re finding that they can’t sell them at the prices that they were hoping to. One seller spent a significant amount of money purchasing 80 tickets and was hoping to be able to have them all sold by fight time tonight. As of now, they’ve only sold 20 of them. It’s possibly that they’ll need to drop the prices dramatically for the tickets in order to sell all the tickets by the time the fight starts tonight. It’s a buyer’s market for a lot of boxing fans.

One of the potential causes for the ticket sellers not being able to sell their expensive tickets is that the tickets didn’t go on sale until 10 days before the fight due to the contract for the fight not being signed. The tickets didn’t go on sale officially until the contract was signed.
