By Francisco Gurrola: One fight away from walking away with hundreds of million dollars in his pocket. Floyd Mayweather Jr. will most likely exit the door with his untouched and eye catching boxing record. Future Hall of Famer and business man awaits him. To many fans across the globe so called “TBE” Floyd Mayweather Jr. has shown that he is very good at 1 thing, he is a perfectionist.

Floyd has reached a point in his career were he has been able to master a solid defense plan. Been through some tough fights in the past and was able to overcome them; to all this you may be wondering why the title? Floyd is his own boss, he is a mafia within himself, and he now has power, money, beautiful cars, and women. All this attributes to one simple factor; THE FANS. He is considered as the biggest villain in boxing by many followers and fans of boxing. From fights like sucker punching and beating by KO Victor Ortiz to fights as boring as the May 2nd Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight.

Many people purchase his PPV fights simply hoping they get to see Mayweather lose which should make you wonder WHY? Why do I want Mayweather to lose? I think the reason is quite simple to many of us; possessing defensive skill simply takes away the whole excitement off a fight. Yes, I admire his skillset and great mind he has, but it does not go as far as admiring what Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Julio Cesar Chavez, Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Erik Morales, Marvin Hagler, Thomas Hearns and many others have brought to boxing. Even Juan Manuel Marquez being a counter-puncher and a very accurate fighter has provided much more exiting fights than Floyd.

Sadly there are the fans that have an Olympic mindset and truly believe that Mayweather is an exciting boxer. For those that praise his ring IQ, stamina and accuracy KNOW that in the Olympics that is all that counts and matters despite how boring the fight may be, points are points which provide a win. To close on the thought. Think about it, do you believe Floyd Mayweather Jr. is an exciting fighter or not? I am almost positive you will agree that he is NOT (at least inside the ring) an exciting fighter and that there is a very good reason why he recently got BOOED at an NBA game.

Never have I seen any other Hall of Fame boxer or boxing legend get BOOED the same way. To all this remember there is a reason and it certainly IS NOT jealousy. Realistically and rationally speaking if you think people are jealous because of his money and lifestyle just spend some time researching about who Bill Gates, Carlos Slim, Mark Zuckerberg and others are then the jealousy can and will be more than justified. It for now, stay tuned.
