Was Mayweather exposed by Maidana?

maidanaBy Meyer Lynk: For a man who claims to be “The Best Ever,” the best to ever lace up the gloves, and the best in all era, Floyd Mayweather Jr’s performance against Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31 KO’s) looked far from being “The Best” last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Don’t fall for Mayweather’s lies that were given to Jim Grey after the fight.

Mayweather’s excuse for his unimpressive victory was that wanted to give the fans a fight they wanted to see. Don’t believe this lie. He said the exact same thing at the post fight press conference after his match against Miguel Cotto two years ago, but then what does he do afterwards? He brings back his dad as a coach to his training camp for his fight with Robert Guerrero because he said he was hit with too many shots in the Cotto fight. The point is, Floyd is not the best ever, Floyd was exposed last night by Maidana and he made the excuse of how he could have came into this fight with boxing shut out win against Maidana if he had just boxed Maidana. That is a complete lie. We saw many unsuccessful attempts of Floyd trying to box Maidana but they were useless due to Maidana’s dirty rough tactics.

Maidana made Floyd look vulnerable tonight. Now I agree with the decision win the judges gave to Floyd, but Floyd did not look impressive at all. I gave him 3 rounds over Maidana. With a performance like this, how could his brainwashed fans say he would beat Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran, or the great Sugar Ray Robinson? I know for a fact other fighters are looking at this fight as a weakness in Floyd’s game and they will be that even closer to cracking the Mayweather code. No I do not want to see Floyd rematch Maidana. Put Floyd in there with Shawn Porter. I think Shawn Porter would look more impressive and would have greater success than Maidana if Shawn Porter comes in to fight Floyd the same way he fought Devon Alexander, the rough and tough all in your face type fighting style not giving Floyd room to breathe. Maidana did a great job at smothering Floyd but the problem with Maidana was that hes known to have a history of gassing out.

If Maidana was able to continue what he did the 1st 6 rounds in all 12 rounds then Floyd would have not won this fight tonight. I don’t think any credit goes to Floyd for adjusting to Maidana but it was more so Maidana punched himself out like he always does, but only this time he didn’t completely gas out due to his new trainer in his corner Alex Ariza.

With a performance against Maidana, can you really call Floyd “The Best Ever?”
