By Alon Calinao Dy: Manny Pacquiao, the Filipino Pride, is excited to face the undefeated American boxer Timothy Bradley this Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pacquiao is 100 percent ready to fight his counterpart, who has a highly controversial win years ago. The Filipino congressman wants to dethrone the crown of the two-time depending champion Bradley on April 12.
However, the American boxer has a big chance to prove to everyone that he has the power and speed to defend his belt. At this point of time, Timothy has become more muscular-looking and stronger than the Filipino icon according to his avid fans.
In speed, he has it. He has proven it when he defeated Juan Manuel Marquez in a close margin. In addition, in some reports, Bradley’s speed and power have almost doubled since his last fight against the Filipino boxer. In fact, his long-time trainer Joel, has given Bradley the thumbs-up sign, a gesture that shows his fighter is well-prepared for the upcoming battle.
But in the eyes of many boxing fans, Bradley is trying hard to prove something that he cannot possibly have. Definitely yes, it is not a cakewalk for Pacquiao, and Bradley truly deserves credit for he has a big heart of a champion.
Although this is certainly a war between the two elite fighters in the world, I still believe that the former pound-for-pound king would pull the trigger. This fight would go on a distance with a close unanimous decision win by Pacquiao. I don’t think Pacquiao will knock Bradley out, but what I think is, Pacquiao’s speed and power are more dangerous than Bradley. Indeed, he is more prepared than Timothy and still the best boxer in the sweet science today.
