Chisora: Fury will fold if I release the anger on him

chisora34By Scott Gilfoid: Dereck Chisora (20-4, 13 KO’s) says he’ll be okay and not explode on Tyson Fury (22-0, 16 KO’s) during the build up to their July 26th rematch as long as Fury doesn’t put hands on him. However, if he touches him in any way, he might show his bad side and “release the anger” on the 6’9” Fury.

What Chisora means by releasing the anger is hard to understand? It could mean that he’ll slap him, or maybe he’ll spit water in his face or possibly even kiss him. Chisora has done all of these things in the past two fighters, so it’s hard to know exactly how he’ll react when he releases his anger.

“If I release the anger on Tyson, he will fold,” Chisora said to IFL TV. “He thinks he wants to see the bad side of me, but he don’t want to see it. We’re going to look for him, and we’re going to find him, and we’re going to knock him out. I’m going to be as calm as a daisy. There’s not going to be any drama on my side. If he touches me, I might react. If he don’t touch me and he keeps playing with tables, I don’t mind. If he lays a hand on me, you never know. I’m a bad boy if you mess around with me.”

Well, if Chisora does show the “bad boy” side of his personality upon being touched by Fury, I just hope Chisora controls himself enough not to strike Fury, because if he hits him, he could cause an injury that will postpone and possible even cause the fight to be cancelled.

The last thing Chisora needs is to blow his big payday by nailing Fury outside of the ring with his bare fist. You can imagine that Chisora might receive another suspension, and this one would likely be longer than the last one he received for his brawl with David Haye.

Chisora also received a four month suspension for biting Paul Butlin in their fight on May 22nd, 2009. If Chisora is smart, he won’t make a big deal about if Fury touches him. Fury doesn’t normally rough up his opponents outside of the ring, so it’s unlikely he’ll start doing it for this one. But if by chance Fury bumps Chisora during a face off, I hope Chisora doesn’t lose it and start unloading on him. Heck, even a slap from Chisora could lead to him getting in a mess of trouble due to him having a history of doing that in the past.
