By Chris Williams: Episode 2 of ALL ACCESS: Mayweather vs. Maidana will be premiering tonight on Showtime at 9 PM ET/PT. This episode will have television personality Robin Leach, who was famous for hosting the TV program Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous during the 1980s and a part of the 1990s. Having Leach on the program will give a voice to the luxurious and highly wealthy lifestyle of Mayweather, who with his many millions won in the boxing ring, is able to purchase beautiful homes, cars, you name it.

Leach is the perfect celebrity for Mayweather’s All Access episodes. It’s just too bad that he’s not the narrator of the program, because he would be perfect.

The Mayweather vs. Maidana ALL ACCESS episode 2 will be televised just before Showtime’s triple-header fight card headlined by Keith Thurman vs. Julio Diaz at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. It’s a good card with a lot of talented fighters. The card will no doubt benefit from having the Mayweather vs. Maidana preview program on just before it, because many fans will likely continue watching the triple-header after having tuned into the Mayweather-Maidana preview, which is what they were mainly interested in.

Episode 3 of the Mayweather-Maidana ALL ACCESS will be televised next Wednesday on April 30th at 10 pm. ET/PT. It should be a very good one.

Mayweather’s opponent Marcos Maidana is a modern day ‘Rocky’ with his aggressive fighting style, his big power, and his rather crude style of fighting. He’s gotten far with his career while working with very little in the way of talent. Maidana is pure power and pure heart, and that’s carried him all the way to a world title. Maidana is one of those throwback fighters that were common during the 1950s. He’s got major power, but not much speed and boxing ability.

Maidana makes up for what he lacks in the talent department with his crushing power and his all-out attacking fighting style. As I’ve mentioned before, he’s perhaps the second best welterweight in the division behind Mayweather fight now at this time. While Maidana has been beaten in the past, he’s improved dramatically since those defeats thanks to his trainer Robert Garcia. I feel confident that Maidana could back in history now and defeat the likes of Amir Khan, Andriy Kotelnik and Devon Alexander without any problems. Maidana is simply a far superior fighter now compared to when he fought those fighters in the past.
