Malik Scott unhappy that people think he faked KO loss to Wilder

scottBy Scott Gilfoid: American heavyweight Malik Scott (36-2-1, 13 KO’s) doesn’t know where people are coming from with their speculation that he took a dive in the 1st round in getting knocked out by the 6’7″ contender Deontay Wilder (31-0, 31 KO’s) last Saturday night in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Malik says that his knockout loss to the powerful Deontay was a direct result of a left hook that nailed him on the temple.

The shot that Deontay landed against Scott would have likely knocked out anyone in the division due to the perfect extension and placement that he got into the punch. Not only did Deontay get full extension on his huge 83″ reach, but he also placed the punch perfectly to the right temple area of Scott. Deontay placed that punch like a surgeon to an area where the chances of Scott surviving the punch was slim and none.

“Congratulations to Deontay Wilder @BronzeBomber on his victory last night,” Scott said on his social media site. “No excuses! First they say I took a dive in the [Dereck] Chisora fight, like I paid the ref to count me out at the 8/9. Smh [shake my head]. I get hit wit a left hook directly on my temple by a pure puncher [and] now I so-called took another dive. Smh.I still love you insipid b*****!”

It’s just plain silly to imagine that a talented fighter like Malik Scott would ever consider throwing a fight for any reason. With a career record like his, why would Scott throw a fight? He’s someone who’s got the potential to fight for a world title if he can put together 6-7 good wins in a row.

Some boxing fans can’t seem to comprehend the fact that Deontay Wilder has one-punch punching power, and when he hits you even with one of his weaker shots, he’s got a good chance of knocking you out. He gets a lot of leverage into each and every shots, and that makes his punching power even more devastating. It might not look like he’s hitting his opponents hard, but the direct results show you clearly that Deontay punches with incredible power.
