Marquez is looking to fight again on May 17 possibly at the former home of the NBA’s 16-time world champions Los Angeles Lakers and NHL Los Angeles Kings which happens to be The Forum in Inglewood, California, were he fought many times earlier in his career because he wants to fight the winner of the April 12 WBO welterweight championship title fight between “Dessert Storm” Tim Bradley and Manny Pacquiao.

In a interview with RingTV.com, Fernando Beltran said he talked to Top Rank CEO Bob Arum about matching the 40-year-old Mexican Warrior against Bradley in a rematch of the first fight that Bradley won against Marquez or fighting Pacquiao for a fifth time.

Marquez’s promoter Beltran also said in the interview that Marquez wants to only fight the best and Alvarado is the best available fighter to fight out there. He also said that Marquez wants to avenge his October split-decision loss to Bradley.
