Jonathan Oquendo vs. Guillermo Avila on March 14th in Kissimmee, Florida

Guaynabo, Puerto Rico: Former WBO NABO and Latino Super bantamweight Champion Jonathan “Polvo” Oquendo and Jonathan “Pitbull” Vidal held an open media workout Today at Ivan Calderon’s Felix Pagan Pintor Gym in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico in anticipation of their return to the ring March 14 at the Kissimmee Civic Center in the season opener of the popular series Boxeo TELEMUNDO Ford.

Oquendo, (23-3-16 KO’s) of Vega Alta, Puerto Rico will face Guillermo “Borrego” Avila (14-1-11 KO’s) of Jamay, Jalisco, Mexico in a bout schedule for 12 Rounds for the World Boxing Council Latin super bantamweight title. “Polvo” trained alongside his trainer Dennis Pantojas looking in excellent shape for the upcoming encounter. He answer questions to the media and had an exclusive one to one interview with Telemundo Sports Francisco Cuevas, which will air on their different platforms on fight week. On the other hand Avila is training with his trainer-manager Fernando Garcia Munguia in Tijuana, Mexico where they have been in camp for over 4 weeks.

Vidal, of Bayamon, Puerto Rico (17-1-9 KO’s), will face tough Antonio “El Tostado” Tostado (12-1-6 KO’s) of Jamay, Jalisco, Mexico in a bout schedule for 6 rounds making his debut under the All Star Boxing, Inc. banner on Boxeo TELEMUNDO. Also present was Ruben De Jesus Director of Operations and matchmaker of ASB.

Doors open 7:30 PM, First bell at 8:30 PM. Telemundo Network available in HD will televise main event starting at 11:35 PM. Tuto Zabala, Jr., All Star Boxing, Inc is presenting the show.
