Floyd’s new demands; Pacquiao should beat Bradley and Marquez first before fighting him

floyd90-0By Juan dela Cruz: In what appears to be a new attempt to avoid the fight, Floyd Mayweather Jnr has made some more requests for the eight-division world champion and People’s champ Manny Pacquiao for the fight to happen. This time, Floyd wants Pacquiao to defeat first Bradley and Marquez. In an interview at Fight Hype by Ben Thompson, Mayweather said that Pacquiao still has problems with Tim Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez from his losses to them in the past. Clearly, these are new demands of Floyd, to have Pac avenge his losses against the Desert Storm and Dinamita first in order to have the fight.

I was right when I said before that Floyd won’t stop making lame excuses and ridiculous demands just to stall the fight. Again I’ll repeat, the fight is not going to happen! Just recently, he said Manny would have to leave Top Rank so that they could face each other in the ring. Now, he wants Manny to crush Bradley and Marquez first. What could be the next demand? We don’t know yet but as everyone expected, Floyd will never run out of demands and excuses.

Floyd’s defenders are now having a hard time shielding Mayweather from criticisms hurled at him for avoiding the fight. Boxing analysts now believe the fight won’t happen and no one is to be blamed but Floyd. In a recent interview at Yahoo Southeast Asia, boxing analyst Ronnie Nathanielz said Floyd is scared of Manny and that he wants to maintain his “0” record. For Floyd, fighting Manny Pacquiao means risking that “0” and still according to Nathanielz, Floyd is not that confident to defeat Pacquiao. I know everybody agrees with Ronnie. Floyd wants an unblemished record before hanging up his gloves. But getting “0” loss record by avoiding threats is no better than having 5 losses, yet fighting anyone especially bigger and more stronger opponents. As Dan Rafael of ESPN puts it, Floyd is rich, but he can’t buy the legacy of defeating Manny Pacquiao when he go down in boxing history. Accurately said! It is now becoming a fact that Floyd is avoiding Manny.

As time goes by, most of the topics circulating in boxing right now is not about the fight happening or not, but it’s all about Floyd’s next excuses and demands. As you can see, Floyd had been downgrading Pacquiao as below his level, and yet, he keeps on fighting fighters’ way below Manny’s level. He keeps on saying Pac is an easy fight and yet, he doesn’t want to take an easy fight for the most money he can get in a single fight. In most boxing forum, Floyd’s defenders are now dwindling in number. That’s understandable as they can no longer find any reason to defend their hero, the self-proclaimed GOAT. A friendly advice to Floyd; just move on and stop fighting Pacquiao only on social media. If you don’t want to fight Manny, so be it. We boxing fans will understand you as everybody had his own fear. If others’ were arachnophobia, ophidiophobia, acrophobia, and yours is Mannyphobia, so be it.
