bradley16By Eamon McDonald: WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (30-0, 12 KO’s) might just be the most underrated fighters in the world. Remarkably, this is due to the fact that he beat the #2 best fighter in the world. I was one of the many people who couldn’t believe Bradley got the nod that famous night against a certain Manny Pacquiao.

The lack of action and the commentary from HBO about how great Pacquiao is had me believing Manny was dominating the fight. I re-watched the fight about a week later and once I paid attention to the fight I ended up scoring the fight a draw. Pacquiao missed a ridiculous amount of shots and got caught quite a lot by Bradley even though they were not heavy shots.

In his next fight Bradley then fought his heart out and boxed well at times against a Russian monster by the name of Ruslan Provodnikov. This gained Bradley some fans because they couldn’t believe the heart he showed in that fight. I don’t know why it was so surprising though, this is the same Timothy Bradley who got up off the canvas twice against Kendall Holt and who pressured Devon Alexander into quitting over a small cut.

Bradley is next facing Marquez in what is a very hard fight to predict. We all get lost in the hype of the fanbases of Saul Alvarez and Adrien Broner yet here we have a fighter who’s heart is as big as a boxing ring and who fights with such passion every time he enters the ring.

America should really get behind Timothy Bradley because he is exactly the kind of fighter that will one day end up in the boxing hall of fame just like Evander Holyfield. He fights all comers and he gives everyone of them hell in the ring.

This guy is on a mission and in a day and age where most fighters are cherry pickers, Timothy Bradley has fought and beat : Kendall Holt, Lamont Peterson, Devon Alexander, Luis Abregu, Manny Pacquiao, Ruslan Provodnikov and it wouldn’t surprise if he beats the great marquez. Although, HBO will probably talk during the whole fight about how great Marquez is while Bradley is the one landing punches. Mind baffling.
