alvarez922By Steven Angulo: WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez contains several advantages over the pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. with pounds being the most hyped one, but advantages that are overlooked from the perspective of Mayweather fans who view Canelo as a basic fighter are in for a rude awakening.

Alvarez) holds skills in categories Floyd is a stranger to, beginning with the world’s famous Mexican liver shot, which is the best in boxing hands down. The left hook to the body is delivered after Canelo pulls his head back slipping the straight right and delivers the rib cracking blow. This will be a key punch for Canelo since Floyd throws so many straight rights which were his game plans for Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero and specifically Victor Ortiz.

This punch wasn’t demonstrated vs. Austin Trout due to him being a (SOUTHPAW). Trout was the first southpaw for Canelo since 2007 which people fail to realize. The second key point is Oscar De La Hoya who is with Canelo 24/7. De La Hoya has stated several times he has figured Floyd out, and I don’t doubt that since Oscar has promoted every one of his fights while being ringside. Oh yeah, he also lost in a split decision under guidance of Floyd Mayweather Sr who is now training Floyd Jr.

Head movement is going to be the biggest factor in this fight for Canelo. The reason being the world has never seen “Money May” miss or fight a boxer with the ability to slip punches the way Canelo does. This opens up counter combinations with the variation of punches to the head and body for Canelo. He also has a consistent hard jab witch Floyd will 100% struggle with. This is the reason why this fight  is going to sell 3 million pay per view buys.
