floyd10by Joe Walker: This weekend we see the return of Floyd Mayweather after 12 months out and 63 days in jail. As normal there is massive interest in the fight between Floyd and his opponent Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero.

The build up has been the same as any other fight with both camps claiming there intent to win, and all the other talk that goes with build ups.

Guerrero is saying it his job to humble Mayweather before God and everyone else. Mayweather is calling Guerrero a hypocrite because of his beliefs in the light of his gun charge.

There is of course people that think this could be the time for Guerrero, and the being of the end for Mayweather. For a few reasons. Firstly the obviously one that Mayweather is now 36 years old and coming in to the twilight years of his career and might not be the same fighter that he was in his younger days.

Secondly, he has been out for a year and in jail for a short time. People are counting on ring rust and the time in jail to have damaged him. Mayweather is use to fighting once a year, so we will have to wait and see if there is any ring rust. I personally don’t think there will be any.

Another one I have heard a lot is the pressure on Mayweather to perform. To be honest, I don’t think any of them hold much weight.
Love him or hate him, he has not got to where he is by going under from pressure. Also, he is apparently always fighting fit. If you train hard you career will last long you only have to look at people like Ricky Hatton on hand and Bernard Hopkins on the other hand to see that.

The reasons given look at Mayweather as old over the hill fighter, which I don’t believe. For me, he is still one of the best fighters in the world.

Guerrero is a good fighter and last time out look good. He is multi-weight world champion, and if he did win it would be because he is a good fighter that trained hard and worked his way to the top. I for one am looking forward to fight night.
