Floyd will be facing Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero on May 4th in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mayweather says he’s ready to punish Guerrero and do what he has to do to get the ‘W’ in this Showtime pay per view bout.

Mayweather Jr. said as quoted by fightnews.com “I am going to dish it out against Robert Guerrero on this one. I am going to be the Mayweather that is active…I am not really worried about what he can do. He needs to worry about what I can do.”

Guerrero is like an open book. You know exactly what the guy is going to do because he fights the same way each time he fights. He’s not someone that can box and he definitely doesn’t adapt to changing situations in the ring.

Guerrero is more like a tsunami that just surges forward in waves, but who can’t move laterally and doesn’t have the hand speed to get away with landing flurries.

The only way Guerrero can win this fight is if Mayweather does something stupid like choosing to fight Guerrero’s game plan by standing with his back against the ropes like Andre Berto did last November. That was a really poor plan by Berto and he should have known better then to stand with his back against the ropes and giving Guerrero his only chance to win the fight.

Mayweather isn’t going to do that because he’s going to be smart enough to know that he has to keep the action in the center of the ring to keep Guerrero from roughing him up against the ropes like he did with Berto.

At the center of the ring, Mayweather will be able to see everything coming at him and he’ll be able to get out of the way of Guerrero’s shots a lot better than if he were to stand still and let Guerrero come to him.
