chisora22By Bradley Swaine: In the world of boxing there are many nearly men but in Dereck Chisora (15-4 9 KO’s) I believe there is enough heart and desire to make it. Currently Dereck Chisora is awaiting for a decision for his British Boxing Board of Control license on March 12 to see whether he can fight on Frank Warren’s bill 4 days later on the 16th at the Wembley Arena in London. Richard Towers (14-0 11 KO’s) is the current undefeated European champion. The 6ft 8 Sheffield giant is a very capable opponent and I have belief that Chisora would see this a winnable fight for himself.

Although Towers is undefeated he has been seen to have a stamina problem in the Gregory Tony fight last time out he struggled and was very tired after a couple of rounds against a very mediocre opponent. Chisora has very good stamina and would capitalize on this if he could survive an early onslaught from Towers.

Although this fight could be a very good one I can’t see Towers taking this fight as he knows the dangers. Chisora is being talked about as a possible opponent for David Price as they are both on the comeback trail after suffering knockout defeats in their last fights. Although this is a good fight for Chisora if he wins, there will be people saying Price was a fraud and he was found out in his recent 2nd round knockout loss to Tony Thompson, but in truth this happens in the heavyweight division. The devastation a loss could do against Price is unbelievable, as this would probably end Chisora’s dreams of becoming world champ.

Dereck Chisora vs. Richard Towers get this fight done it will open the doors to big fights for the winner which i believe will be none other than Dereck “Del Boy” Chisora.
