Guerrero sees it as one of those destiny type of things where he specifically was picked out for this purpose.

Guerrero said “I believe God put me here to humble Floyd Mayweather, and it is going to happen.”

I hope Guerrero doesn’t get himself too worked up on the God angle because you’d hate to see him to go to pieces if he doesn’t step in and give him this gift that he feels that he’s bestowed upon him. Guerrero has talent, but I’m sure he’s got the kind of talent needed for him to beat Mayweather.

I see it a different way. I think it comes down to talent. If Guerrero has the talent then he’ll win, and if he doesn’t then he’s going to going to get beaten. Forget all this talk about destiny and all that. Guerrero seems to be going a little overboard.

Guerrero is an underdog in this fight, and he’s setting himself up to be in for a big letdown with his talk of destiny. It’s not that Mayweather isn’t beatable at this point in this point in his career. After all, Mayweather is 36, hasn’t fought since last May, and looked less than impressive in that fight.

The problem that Guerrero has is he’s not that great of a fighter. He’s kind of a weak plodder that throws a lot of punches, and gets hit an awful lot. Let’s face it; Guerrero hasn’t looked unbeaten in his two fights against Selcuk Aydin and Andre Berto at welterweight. He beat Aydin by a small handful of rounds, and roughed up a beatable Berto. There’s a big difference from beating those guys than beating Mayweather.
