De La Rosa – Sabillo ready for battle on March 9th

Cerete, Colombia: The final presser was held today in Cerete, Colombia for the highly anticipated World Boxing Organization (WBO) Mini-Flyweight interim title between #1 contender Luis “El Chino” De La Rosa (21-1-1-12 KO’s) of Arboletes, Colombia and #2 contender Merlito “The Tiger” Sabillo (20-0-10 KO’s) to be held this Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Mario de Leon Coliseum in the city of Cerete (10 miles away of the Department’s Capital of Monteria).

Both fighters declared to be fit and ready, “The title will stay here in Colombia, I have learned my lesson my first world title fight and this time I won’t leave it in the judges hands, said a confident De La Rosa. On the other hand Sabillo said: “I have travel a long way to win this title and will bring it back to the Philippines, I will dedicate my victory to our super hero Manny Paquiao”.

“This is a dream fight for any Promoter, when you have two boxers who are hungry for a belt and have similar aggressive styles, it will be an all out war” said Promoter Tuto Zabala, Jr.

Also in action world ranked lightweight contender Darley Perez (27-0-19 KO’s), WBO #6 contender William Urina (23-2-20 KO’s) and former WBC female Champion Lely Luz “La Roca” Flores (11-5-6 KO’s) amongst others.

Doors open at 5:00 PM with the first bell at 6:00 PM. 6 more fights round up the card. The event is being presented by Tuto Zabala, Jr., All Star Boxing, Inc in association with City Hall of Cerete Mayor Francisco Padilla Petro, Billy Cham’s Cuadrilatero & ALA Boxing. The Mario de Leon Coliseum was recently build for the 2012 National Games and is located in Cerete, Cordoba, Colombia. The card will be televised live on TELECARIBE in Colombia and Solar Sports in Philippines.
