One Down, two to go!

wilder322By Tony Crooks: In one of my previous articles, I mentioned that David Price, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder’s managements all avoided each other in order to make as much money as possible. I do not have to tell you what happened to Price at the weekend. In another article, I mentioned the importance of a good chin. It kind of relates back to the old school bully mentality, you beat up on people that you have the confidence to beat until that one day when someone hit’s you back harder.

This is my case on protected fighters, Tony Thompson is way past his prime, and he was just another patsy in David Price’s road to glory. One punch is all it took to in all honesty end Price’s career. We can all say it was a lucky punch and if my auntie had balls she would be my uncle, so that has no bearing on the facts.

Protecting fighters gets you to one place and one place only, and that is the road to nowhere. Price can’t take a punch; Tyson Fury has reiterated this fact on numerous occasions. Fury is not a knock out artist, he can take a punch so far and has not been knocked out like Price, having said that, Fury is the better boxer and has better defensive skills than Price. Wilder on the other hand can punch, but has only knocked out mediocre opponents even worse than the opponents that Price has faced.

Price has a better defense than Wilder, both can punch to some extent, but Fury is technically a better boxer than both of the above mentioned put together. Here are my predictions and you can chastise me if I am wrong. David Price will never go any further; maybe win Prize-fighter like Audley Harrison, Wilder will get knocked out cold the second that he moves up in class and Fury will never be the heavyweight champion of the world.

You have about as much chance of any of the above becoming the heavy champion as you have of being suspended from a helicopter naked and dragged through a Norwegian pine forest and come out without a scratch. What next, Audley Harrison wins the world title aged 67?
