Fury: I want Deontay Wilder, Jennings or Banks in the United States

wilder5By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten British heavyweight Tyson Fury (20-0, 14 KO’s) says he’s interested in facing American heavyweights Deontay Wilder, Bryant Jennings or Johnathon Banks soon in the United States. Fury, 24, doesn’t say when he plans on fighting one or all of them, only that he wants to fight one. It’s no secret that the talented knockout artist Wilder (26-0, 26 KO’s) tried calling Fury only last year but was only ignored. It kind of reminded me how Adrien Broner tried to get a fight with Ricky Burns and had no luck as well.

Wilder had this to say about Fury at Uk.fighthype.com, saying “I would like a fight with him [Fury] as soon as possible, but he’s a coward. He won’t fight anyone he knows he has a high chance of losing against.”

Oh boy, Wilder letting loose the dogs of war on Fury and unfortunately never responded to those war of words. Wilder is still interested in fighting Fury but he’s had no luck in getting the big Brit to step inside the ring with him to taste some of his devastating right hands.

Fury said on his twitter today “I’m the greatest heavyweight in the world. I’m coming to America soon!!!! I hope [to fight] Wilder or Jennings or Banks.”

It doesn’t take a fortune teller to guess which fighters will get passed over by Fury. The only one of that bunch that even has a slight chance of getting a fight with Fury is Banks, and that’s probably because he’s not a huge puncher, he doesn’t put his shots together, and he’s more like a cruiserweight than a heavyweight.

Wilder just hits too hard for Fury. If you look at some of Fury’s fights you’ll see him dancing around, throwing a few slaps here, a few slaps there, and just looking weak and unimpressive. But Wilder would be laying into him with sledgehammer right hands and I don’t see Fury making it out of the 2nd round, I really don’t. His chin is just begging to be punched by Wilder.
