floyd44333By Omar Torres: Rumors have been swirling around that Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0) will finally announce his next opponent during this Sunday’s big game super Bowl XLVII, according to frontrowking.com. His next fight is set to be on May 4th in the MGM Grand area in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Once again Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather is trying to grab the spotlight, and also trying to take away some steam of the Super Bowl, which is impossible unless he announces his fighting Manny Pacquiao which is highly unlikely. We will finally find out who will take a crack at taking Floyd Mayweather undefeated record away.

The names that have been thrown around have been Robert Guerrero (31-1-1), Saul Alvarez (41-0-1) and Timothy Bradley (29-0). I think Floyd Mayweather wants to fight a Mexican on that date because its close to Cinco de Mayo which is a Mexican holiday so I think Bradley is out the picture, And I also think Saul isn’t going to get the shot at least for now. In my opinion it’s going to be Robert Guerrero to get his shot in May.

Robert has been the ahead of the pack for a while now and I don’t see why he wouldn’t be getting a shot at Floyd. Then again you just never know with Mayweather, I mean, the Saul Alvarez fight is where the big money is at and Saul is more popular among Mexicans in Mexico and the U.S. This Sunday, if the Rumors are true we will finally get to see who will face Money Mayweather on May 4th.

It’s funny to me that Floyd Has possibly chosen the day of the biggest sporting event of the year in the U.S to make his announcement, because the casual fans might not care on that day, but hey, that’s Floyd for you he has done this in the past in 2010 and last year.
