Image: Will we ever see what Deontay Wilder is made of?By Adam Mccoy: Deontay Wilder “The Bronze Bomber” Undefeated in 25 bouts all coming by way of knockout. That is one hell of a record it goes without saying. Also hence the nickname Wilder won bronze at the Beijing Olympics so with a spectacular record an Olympic medal, Why has Wilder still not got the respect or even the publicity?

Ill tell you just that, Wilder has been carefully spoon-fed opponents since his debut on 15th November 2008 and for what reason? Because Wilder is walking proof that your boxing record means nothing what so ever.

Deontay is being made to look good and Golden Boy are doing a good job of it because they actually have certain people fooled and believing the Wilder hype. He was knocked down by Dustin Nichols and knocked down by Harold Sconiers and to be perfectly honest he just isn’t the talent his record suggests he is. The second Wilder steps in the ring with anybody half dangerous and that’s providing Golden Boy ever sanction that Wilder will be found out big style.

Wilder is fighting next on the Khan Molina undercard, it says a lot when at 27 years of age with a 25-0 25ko record hes still fighting on undercards. What do you think the answer would be if Tyson Fury was offered to fight on a Amir Khan undercard? Wilder by his age should be fighting better opposition and making more of a name for himself. Tyson Fury is 3 years younger than Wilder hes fresh off beating Kevin Johnson who went 12 rounds with Vitali Klitschko.

Johnson went on to say after the fight that he believes Fury could beat Vitali. David Price does appear to have been slightly mismatched recently but the opponents hes fought are still far better than Wilders. I actually think Kevin Johnson would of knocked Wilder out and Matt Skelton would give Wilder problems. Also Dereck Chisora has lost 4 out of his last 5 fights but is still far superior to Deontay Wilder.

Chisora took Vitali 12 rounds and also give him a lot of problems. Even at Vitalis old age Wilder wouldn’t last 3 rounds. This isn’t an article slating Deontay Wilder I’m basically asking the question, When we will ever find out what hes made of? 25 fights 25 wins 25 knockouts. Impressive? Maybe when he fights someone who has a chance and believe me that isn’t Kevin Price, Expect another Wilder knockout next week and maybe he will finally get the big fight… Flintoff?
