The 6’7” Wilder weighed a light 223 pounds for the vacant WBC Continental Americas heavyweight title.

The fight is scheduled for only 10 rounds, but Wilder likely won’t need half of those rounds to get the 6’7” Price out of there. The weird thing about this fight is that both Wilder and Price look in incredible shape with nothing but pure muscle.

I’m not used to seeing two in shape heavyweights because much of the time heavyweights look so badly out of shape or just have weird looking physiques. These two fighters actually look like athletes.

Amir Khan (26-3, 18 KO’s) weighed in at 139.75 for his fight against little known lightweight Carlos Molina (17-0, 7 KO’s) in a fight that most boxing experts see as a mismatch. Khan is badly in need of a win, and so they found a lightweight for him to fight instead of a light welterweight because Khan keeps getting beat.

Khan has a new trainer Virgil Hunter, so hopefully Khan can stop his losing streak. Molina weighed in at 139.75 as well. However, he can’t keep fighting little known lightweights after this fight unless he plans on moving down in weight again to lightweight. As such, Khan is just treading water with this fight. He’s not going anywhere except heading his destiny, which will likely be him getting knocked out once he steps it up again.

Junior middleweight Alfredo Angulo (21-2, 18 KO’s) weighed in at 154.5 lbs for his fight against Jorge Silva (19-2-2, 15 KO’s). This is another mismatch. Angulo is trying to rejuvenate his career after missing almost a year of his career with immigration problems. Silva weighted 156.

IBF bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz (22-0-1, 13 KO’s) weighed in at 117.75 lbs for his fight against unbeaten Alberto Guevara (16-0, 6 KO’s) for their 12 round bout. Guevara weighed 117.5.

Deontay Wilder 223.5 – Kelvin Price 240
