Rafael sees it as a law of averages thing where Marquez has been given losses in two fights that could have gone the other way, and he thinks that judges will all on his side on Saturday. Rafael specifically mentions judge Adelaid Byrd, who he says gave WBC junior middleweight champion Austin Trout the win over Miguel Cotto by a 119-109 scorecard.

Trout, like Marquez, is a counter puncher, and Rafael sees Byrd as liking that style. If she goes with Marquez then all it’ll take is one more judge to see him as the winner as well, and that’ll end Pacquiao’s success against Marquez.

I don’t see it quite the same manner. I don’t think Marquez will get the decision simply because one judge likes his counter punching style or because the law of averages will finally fall in his favor.

I think Marquez is simply going to win because he’s the better fighter this time, just as he was in the first three fights. The difference here is that it’s different judges working this fight than the three previous bouts, and I see them being able to see with their two eyes that Marquez is clearly the better fighter than Pacquiao.

When you’ve got a fighter landing the cleaner, harder and more accurate shots, you give that fighter then victory. In that case Marquez should be the one that gets the win on Saturday night. That’s the way it is and that’s the way it should be. Marquez is simply the better fighter all around and he deserves to get the win.
