Green, at one time one of the top super middleweights in the division, has struggled in the last two years, losing three out of his last five fights. The positive news is that Green has only lost two really good fighters in Andre Ward, Mikkel Kessler and Glen Johnson.

The negative is that those losses have proved that Green isn’t good enough to be rated among the best at super middleweight and now light heavyweight.

Green lost his last fight to Kessler by a 4th round TKO last May in a catchweight fight at 172. Green told RingTV that he didn’t have energy to fight hard for six rounds and he feels he should have gone for the knockout when he put Kessler down in the 1st round with a right hand. Green instead backed off and was dominated until the fight was halted in the 4th when Green was knocked cold by Kessler.

Green is no longer ranked in the top 15 at light heavyweight and he’s in the position where he has to beat St Juste if he wants to get ranked. A loss here would be bad for Green, because it’ll keep him from being relevant.

St Juste hasn’t fought since last year in December when he was stopped by Anthony Dirrell in the 4th round after his left shoulder came out of the socket in the 4th round preventing him from fighting.

St. Juste can really punch and if he’s not hampered by injury, he’ll likely knock Green out unless Green opens up on him with a flurry in the 1st. In his prime, Green was pretty devastating when he was flurrying on B level opposition, but he stopped doing that when he started facing better opposition. He’s subsequently looked bad in many of his fights in the last two years.
