Image: Khan: Where do I go from here if I lose?By Will Jackson Jr: Amir Khan is the former unified champion at Light Welterweight. He has lost his last 2 fight. This is why his next fight is against Carlos Molina and if he loses that, what’s next? Amir usually hypes himself up and in the build-up to the Danny Garcia fight he even referred to himself as a boxing superstar on a number of occasions. This was very confident of Khan but shame he has never backed that up in the ring.

In an Interview with The Sun Newspaper he said “I don’t want to lose this one. I don’t want to be in that position where, if I lose, I am thinking, ‘Where do I go from here?’ “The pressure is on as I need to win this fight. It’s make or break. That’s why I have changed everything 100 percent; this is all on the line. I have to make sure I don’t make any mistakes.”

He also went on to reveal he will only fight Ricky Hatton if a title is the line and that his plan is to win this fight and to then get his titles back by fighting Garcia and then to step up to 147. I think this would be good for Khan because at 147 fighters are slower and they will find your chin less often.

Also if Khan is weight drained his brain will have less fluid around it which is not good when you already have a suspect chin. In my opinion he should step up to 147 in his next fight, bypassing Garcia and then if 147 doesn’t work out for him, he should retire on the money he has made and for the sake of his health. He could also concentrate more on his new promotional company Super Fight Promotions.
