Image: Khan says his twitter account was hacked, gushes over training with HunterBy Scott Gilfoid: Well, the mystery about why Amir Khan’s Twitter account was closed has finally been solved by Khan himself. He says that his account was hacked recently and he had to close it down during that time. His twitter account is now back up, partly because of all the boxing fans hounding him about when he’d have it open again.

Khan had these gushing words to say about his new trainer Virgil Hunter: “Sorry, account been hacked. Will sort it out…Training with Virgil is tough and now I know why Andre Ward is unbeatable. I’m working on methods of training I never knew. Nothing to do in Union City. Haha. Proper training camp. Yo. Gym + home. LOL”

It’s interesting to know that Khan is living in Union City, California, an area that is known for the high crime. I wonder who advised Khan to move there? I wish him a lot of luck. He’d have been better off moving to San Carlos, Hillsborough, Burlingame or even San Francisco. Oh well, Khan will learn when and if he comes back to his place and everything is cleaned out, including the food in his refrigerator.

Khan is in training for his mismatch against lightweight Carlos Molina on December 15th. Man, if Khan can’t win this fight he’s really going to need to hang up the gloves. He picked about the smallest guy to fight in 5’6″ Molina, and one without any power. I know Khan sees this Hunter guy as the answer to all of his problems in the ring, but believe me this guy isn’t going to change much in Khan’s game. He’s pretty much set in his ways at this point, and you can call Khan the finished product. He is what he is.

The only thing that Hunter can do is tell him not to engage with his opposition as much, and then give him a tongue lashing each time that Khan doesn’t pay attention to his instructions. I expect Khan to be off his leash for the Molina fight, though, because this guy can’t punch at all, so there’s no real risk for Khan. But once Khan starts facing good opposition again, Hunter will have to control Khan’s ever move in the ring to keep him from getting knocked cold.
