Khan: I’ll fight Brook if he beats Tim Bradley

All Brook could do while Khan was talking was stutter and look uncomfortable. Book looked like he didn’t want to be there. The good thing that came out of all this, however, was that Khan said he’s interested in fighting Brook just so long as Brook defeats WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley. Fat chance that happens.

Khan and Brook had this to say during this week’s Sky Ringside:

Khan: “We had great sparring sessions.”

Brook: “What happened?”

Khan: “You know what happened. Come on, Kell. I used to box Kell all around the ring. I’m not going to lie to you, that’s the honest truth.”

Brook: “You got schooled.”

Khan: “I was training for the pre-Olympic games at the time and Kell was in the Juniors, and I used to school him in the ring.”

Brook: “I’ve never been schooled, ever.”

Khan: “Come on, Kell! Come on, Kell! It was one of those things. I was an amateur in those days and now I’m a professional. It’s 100 percent different now. It was a long time ago. We’re both in the pro ranks now. It’s a different story now. Kell has come along a lot.”

Brook: “I hope so [that he can fight Khan] for the fans.”

Khan: “That’s a fight that fans want to see and I’m happy to take it. We need it on Sky Box Office. I think it would be massive. Let’s get it on, Man. I’m going to move up to 147, hopefully real soon and then I’ll be in the mix. I still think I’m a league above but if I have to step back a level and go back and knock him out, then I’m going to have to do that. I think he’s going to be bitter how I treated him in sparring. I’m still at 140, but when I move up to 147 I’m going to knock Kell out. You haven’t fought anyone decent. You turned down [Timothy] Bradley.”

At this point Audley Harrison had to shove Khan to get him to shut up and give Brook a chance to talk because Khan was really hogging the show at that point.

Brook: “I’ll do a unification fight with Bradley.”

Khan: “If he fights Bradley, then I’ll fight the winner of Bradley and Kell Brook.”

It’s weird how Khan has suddenly changed his mind about not wanting to fight Brook. Before Khan was beaten by Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia, Khan had no interest in facing Brook, seeing him as someone that is a backwards step for him. But now that Khan has tasted defeat twice, he’s all of a sudden whistling a different tune.
