Proksa has adopted the fighting style of some of the fast American fighters with quick reflexes and pinpoint accuracy. However, unlike those fighters, Proksa doesn’t have the quick reflexes to get out of the way of punches, so when he fights with his hands down by his sides goading his opponents to try and hit him, more often than not Proksa gets tagged in the head for his troubles.

Against weak punchers like Kerry Hope and Sebastian Sylvester, the two best guys that Proksa has faces thus far, he didn’t have much to worry about because the power wasn’t there to hurt him. But in his fight against the hard hitting Golovkin, Proksa is going to have to change his fighting style by trying to protect his head or he’s going to be in great danger of being knocked cold by Golovkin.

That’s just the reality of the situation. Golovkin is the hardest puncher in the middleweight division right now, and he’s got true one-punch power. If he connects with a solid right hand or left hook to the head of Proksa, they’re going to have to drag Proksa out of the ring because he won’t be able to walk out.

Golovkin doesn’t fight guys that hold their guard down like Proksa does, so he usually has to slowly work his way into finding an opening to land oen of his big right hand smashes. But it won’t be a problem against Proksa due to his nasty habit of fighting with his hands down the entire time.
