Lewis believes the 6’6″ Joshua can become a world heavyweight champion.

Lewis told RingTV “He’s got a lot of raw talent right now. What we have to do is harness that talent, work on it and add some boxing. Then he has the potential to be the next heavyweight world champion.”

Joshua is going to need a lot of work because he looked good enough to be the loser against Savon, and I had Joshua losing by 10 points. He looks A LOT less ready to be anything compared to Savon, and even he doesn’t look ready.

Joshua showed some major flaws in his game. Here are the flaws I noticed in watching his questionable victory over Savon:

* Lack of hand speed
* Flat footed fighting style
* Doesn’t throw enough punches
* Can’t handle movement
* Not good at cutting off the ring
* No power in his left hand and totally reliant on his right
* Doesn’t throw his jab enough
* A shaky chin
* Too much muscle
* Covers up like a sparring partner when attacked
* No inside fighting ability
* Easily backed up

If Joshua is going to be a champion someday he’s going to have to really work hard because he doesn’t look as polished as even some of the British heavyweights like David Price, Dereck Chisora, David Haye and Tyson Fury.
