Proksa, 27, is going to need a minor miracle just to keep from getting knocked out in this, and he can forget about winning it. He’s not going to win.

Proksa’s level is at the European level, and even down there he’s struggling now that he’s starting to face better opposition. He was beat earlier this year by the light hitting Kerry Hope by a 12 round decision, and now Proksa is facing a guy that’s worlds better than Hope in talent and power. It’s a no win situation for Proksa.

The only hope here is that Proksa doesn’t make it easy for Golokin by standing in front of him with his hands down by his sides like he’s been doing in all of his fights. That style works against the likes of Sebastian Sylvester, but it won’t work against Golovkin. Proksa is going to get his head launched into the upper deck of the stands if he fights like that on Saturday night, and he definitely wil be.

It’s too late in the game for Proksa to be tinkering with his fighting style, because he’ll be confused and unnatural. So he’s going to get blasted out fairly early by Golovkin unless he runs from him and avoids mixing it up. Will Proksa run? I doubt it. He has too much pride to run from Golovkin and that’ll make it easy for Golovkin to quickly take him out in a few rounds.
