Although both Chavez Jr. and Martinez speak English, their primary language is Spanish and that’s likely the language they’ll be speaking in the face off with Kellerman. According to Dan Rafael at ESPN, subtitles will be used rather than an interpreter for the comments from the two fighters.

In addition to the Face off with Kellerman, there will be a two-part 24/7 Chavez Jr/Martinez series that will air on September 1st on HBO at 11:45 p.m for the first episode and September 8th at 12:30 a.m for episode 2.

Chavez Jr-Martinez will be fighting on September 15th on HBO pay-per-view at the Thomas & Mack Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight will be competing against a Showtime card on the same night headed by Josesito Lopez vs. Saul Alvarez.

It’s hard to say which card will be the better one because the two cards are so different. The Top Rank card has bigger names but the fights appears to be all mismatches. The Golden Boy Promoted Alvarez-Lopez card has more competitive fights on paper but the card still is incomplete at this time.

Here’s the Golden Boy Card:

Saul Alvarez vs. Josesito Lopez
Jhonny Gonzalez vs. Daniel Ponce De Leon
Marcos Rene Maidana vs. Jesus Soto Karass
Sergio Thompson vs. TBA
Salvador Sanchez vs. TBA

The Golden Boy card is a non-PPV fight card which makes it a really good deal because you don’t have to pay a ton of money to see some nice competitive fights.

Here’s what you get from the Chavez Jr-Martinez PPV Top Rank card on the same night on HBO:

Sergio Martinez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr
Roman Martinez vs. Miguel Beltran Jr
Guillermo Rigondeaux vs. Robert Marroquin
Matthew Macklin vs. Joachim Alcine
Mike Lee vs. TBA
Mikael Zewski vs. TBA
