Vitali says he’ll think about whether he wants to fight the winner of the Haye-Chisora fight.

Speaking with Sky Sports News, Vitali said “The biggest fight are between two Klitschko losers, because Wladimir beat David Haye and I beat Chisora. Right now the two Klitschko losers will see which is the stronger one. Okay, good luck, guys.”

When asked if he would be interested in facing Haye if he beats Chisora, Vitali said after a long pause “First of all, David Haye will have to beat Dereck Chisora, and then we’ll talk about it.”

It doesn’t appear that Vitali is all that eager about fighting Haye or Chisora, who he struggled to beat last February. Vitali is taking an easy fight against Manuel Charr on September 8th in a fight that pretty much only Vitali’s German and Ukrainian fans really care all that much about it. Vitali will then likely retire and move into politics rather than fight the winner of the Haye-Chisora fight.

The Haye vs. Chisora fight has gotten a lot more attention than Wladimir’s upcoming fight against Tony Thompson, which takes place this Saturday night in Switzerland. To be fair, Wladimir has no choice but to take the fight with Thompson because he’s Wladimir’s IBF mandatory challenger. It’s either face him or lose his title. However, Wladimir had a chance to fight a better opponent in his previous bout and instead he chose to fight 39-year-old Jean Marc Mormeck in a fight that turned out to be one-sided affair with little action or excitement.
