Steward doesn’t see Wladimir showing any interest in facing Haye again if Haye defeats Chisora on Saturday due to the one-sided nature of their fight last year in July.

Steward told Boxing News as quoted by Sky Sports “Even if Haye looks good I don’t think Wladimir will fight him again. Ideally he would like to see Chisora next but Wladimir believes David Haye will be too fast and explosive.”

Steward doesn’t know who to pick in this fight, and sees it as a toss up.

If Wladimir doesn’t face Chisora at the end of the year then Wladimir will likely face #1 WBC, #4 WBO, # 8 WBA, #9 IBF, Chris Arreola in December in the United States. Arreola was blown out by WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko in 2009. However, Arreola’s management has set him up with eight easy 2nd tier opponents since an Arreola loss to Tomasz Adamek in 2010. The 2nd tier opposition has allowed Arreola to turn his career around, albeit against weak opposition.

Wladimir was supposed to fight Chisora on two occasions, but twice Wladimir suffered abdominal injuries which wiped out his fight with him. Instead of facing Chisora, Wladimir’s abdominal injury healed quickly and he chose to fight Haye last July instead. Chisora would later fight Vitali and lose by a 12 round decision last February.

It might not be as big a fight as Steward thinks it would be between Wladimir and Chisora. Even if Chisora beats Haye, Chisora will have lost three out of his last five fights, and it’s difficult for boxing fans to get excited about seeing a fighter that was soundly beaten by 23-year-old Tyson Fury in 2011.
