This bout will mark the last time that Broner fights at featherweight, because he’s moving up in weight to bigger and better things hopefully in the lightweight division. Broner has exhausted all the talented fighters at super featherweight and it’s time he goes hunting for some new blood at lightweight. It’s going to be interesting to see how the Mayweather-esque talent does at the new weight, because he’s been out of this world at super featherweight, beating the likes of Daniel Ponce De Leon and Jason Litzau with ease. Now it’s Escobedo’s turn to take a beating. I just hope boxing fans don’t walk away from their television sets to get a snack or some refreshments because they may end up missing the fight because Escobedo is going to get knocked out early in this fight.

Broner has all the advantages over Escobedo that you could think of.

* Speed – Broner
* Ring intelligence – Broner
* Talent – Broner
* Power – Broner
* Defense – Broner
* Chin – Broner
* Size – Broner
* Trainer – Broner
* Experience – Escobedo

The only thing Escobedo has going for him is a slight advantage of experience, but that goes without saying he’s 30-years-old while Broner is only 22. Of course, Escobedo is going to have more experience than Broner, but it’s useless experience because Escobedo has lost his biggest fights against Michael Katsidis and Robert Guerrero, so you can pretty much throw his experience out the door because he doesn’t mean a thing if he’s not winning these fights.
