Roach: I see Pacquiao winning every round and stopping Bradley

Image: Roach: I see Pacquiao winning every round and stopping BradleyBy Chris Williams: Freddie Roach doesn’t believe that Tim Bradley is even capable of winning one round against his fighter Manny Pacquiao this Saturday, and like usual, Roach is predicting a knockout win.

Roach said to sports.inquirer.net “I don’t see it [12 rounds] happening right now…I expect Manny to win every round…He’s sharp. We had a good training camp, one of the best ever.”

Oh no, not another ‘best training camp ever’ comments from Roach. He keeps saying that and Pacquiao keeps looking less spectacular. The last time Pacquiao fought against Juan Manuel Marquez last November, Roach was bragging about how good Pacquiao looked. But then he turns around and looks horrible, winning a controversial 12 round decision that pleased few fans. And then Roach changes his tune, saying that something wasn’t right in the last part of the training camp.

Roach blamed it on Pacquiao having family problems. Okay, he got his excuse in that time, but what happens this Saturday night if Pacquiao fails to shine again? Will be it be a repeat with the family problems story or will it be the lingering affects of the family problems? I just don’t buy anything what Roach says anymore because if you can’t give the other fighter credit for having put together a solid game plan instead of making excuses, then I don’t buy what he’s saying.

Pacquiao won’t win every round of the fight, but if he does I can see it being highly controversial to the extreme. No one wins rounds against Bradley, and I can’t see that changing on Saturday with a brawling Pacquiao facing him. Bradley is a much better boxer than Pacquiao, and if the fight turns into a boxing match instead of an all out slugging war, then I see Bradley doing quite well in that type of fight. That’s his game, not Pacquiao’s.
