Image: Pacquiao to choose from Bradley, Cotto or Marquez for November 10th fightBy Chris Williams: The recently beaten Manny Pacquiao met with his promoter Bob Arum last Tuesday and given a choice of three potential opponents to face for his next fight on November 10th. The three opponents that Pacquiao has to pick from are these three: Tim Bradley, Miguel Cotto and Juan Manuel Marquez.

Pacquiao will now go on vacation in Israel and France. During that time he’ll decide on who he wants to fight next, and then he’ll meet up with Arum in the middle of July for them to pick out his next opponent, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Arum seems to be leaning in the direction of Cotto or Marquez for Pacquiao to fight next. Arum told the Los Angeles Times “I’ve always been impressed with Cotto by what he brings to the table as a fighter and his large Puerto Rican audience.”

I wonder if Arum is also impressed with the money that Cotto helps bring in as well? Arum seems transparent. He obviously wants to bring in the most money possible, and that would likely be a second fight against Cotto. But for that to happen, Pacquiao will have to agree to fight Cotto halfway at 150 pound catchweight because Cotto doesn’t want to drain himself all the way down to 147 lbs in order to make the fight happen.

He already turned down a fight against Pacquiao for this last fight because Pacquiao wasn’t willing to fight him at 150. I don’t see anything changing. Pacquiao probably won’t be willing to accommodate Cotto with a catchweight, even though Cotto agreed in the past to fight Pacquiao at a catchweight when Cotto was the WBO welterweight champion.
