Image: Khan vs Garcia: Should be an easy night, shouldn't it?By Dan Henderson: Ever since the news that Lamont Peterson failed a drugs test and the rematch was cancelled the rush to find Khan a replacement fighter was always going to be tough but Golden Boy Promotions put a July 14th bout together between Khan and WBC champion Danny Garcia.

I don’t like the fight because I know Garcia is an undefeated world champion but he has not been in with the better fighters of the division and his route to the title was a well managed one.

I asked Khan’s fellow Brit and former Garcia opponent Ashley Theophane what his thoughts were and this is what he had to say. “I think that Danny Garcia is overrated. It should be a routine win for Amir Khan. The way to beat Amir Khan is to pressure him and rough him up. Danny will have to do that if he is to get a verdict.

It will be a good fight. Ajose Olusegun has been mandatory for two years and I believe he would beat Danny Garcia and he is capable of beating Khan. This could be Garcia’s trickiest fight to date. They gave him a hometown decision against me as everyone with working vision could see. I’m backing my fellow Brit to win

I think this fight is a nice easy way to get Khan a world title and if everything goes his way then it will also be for the IBF and WBA titles as well. I’m sure Danny Garcia will be a champion again but this a fight Khan should win with ease.
