Image: Haye: Vitali is choosing to fight Charr because he wants an easy win before he goes into politicsBy William Mackay: Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye isn’t happy with WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko for his lack of interest in facing him in the fall for a mega fight. Haye says he chose to make a comeback against Dereck Chisora because he thought it would lead to a big money bout with Vitali.

However, Vitali is now being talked about facing fringe contender German based Manuel Charr in September rather than facing Haye or one of the other top heavyweight contenders. This doesn’t sit right with Haye, because he wanted a crack at Vitali before he goes into permanent retirement.

Haye told the Dailystar.co.uk “There’s a reason for him choosing this opponent because they know Vitali will knock him out, look good and get a nice win before going into politics. This one will be a KO and it won’t be like the last one with Chisora, which was a tough one for Vitali.”

For some reason Vitali and his manager Bernd Boente aren’t interested in the Haye fight. Vitali was really interested for a while there, but ever since his disappointing 12 round decision over Chisora last February, Vitali’s interest in the Haye bout has cooled off entirely.

Haye has a fight coming up next month against Chisora on July 14th at Upton Park in London. This is going to be a big fight for both guys, as it will be televised on BoxNation and a crowd estimated between 20,000 to 40,000 will show up to watch this bout. Haye is the favorite to win but you can also say that the fight should really be a toss up because of Chisora’s big size advantage over Haye.
