Haye said on Haye vs. Chisora – Beyond the Ropes “I hit him with two elbows and his body just sank to the floor. He was on the floor unconscious for about three to four seconds. I’m a better boxer than I am a street fighter. I’d kick him out in about five seconds on the street. So what’s the guy going to happen in the fight?

Chisora responded with “He doesn’t know what a street fight is. That wasn’t a street fight. What happens when we get into a street fight.”

In truth, Chisora’s trainer did more fighting than Chisora did, because Chisora hit the ground so quickly. His trainer Don Charles ate a couple of lefts and a right hand from Haye before the action was broken up.

Hopefully, Chisora stays on his feet a little longer than he did last time when the two fighters meet on July 14th at Upton Park. With the undercard of the fight being nothing special, it’s the main event that boxing fans will be paying money to see. Chisora needs to keep his guard high especially in the early rounds because Haye is too much of a threat to take him out with his fast hands. Chisora isn’t big enough to keep Haye on the outside like Wladimir Klitschko did.

Chisora doesn’t have the reach or the defensive skills that Wladimir possesses. This means that Chisora is going to have to block some shots, and come up with a strategy to survive the first five rounds, which is when Haye is the most dangerous.
